Pictures from the Diamond Jubilee, River Pageant and Flotilla

I thought I would share some of my pictures from today at the River Pageant for the Diamond Jubilee. It was a bit wet and we couldn’t see the boats directly as it was so packed. We watched the procession of boats go by on one of the big screens which were placed along the Thames embankment. Initially I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t get close enough to the edge of the river to see the boats, especially the royal barge, directly but it was a really good atmosphere and in the end just as good on the big screen.

On our way back we even stopped for a delicious Frappuccino and then broke our journey home with a stop in Chiswick for a Pimms. Very English. Very delish.

Here are a few photos from the afternoon.
